Hardware Operation Overview

Wheel lock: As shown in the diagram, slide it upward to unlock and press it downward to lock.

When connecting the HotBot to power, set the switch to the “I” position to turn it on, and to the “O” position to turn it off.

As shown in the figure, the circular button on the display is the power button. After connecting the power, press and hold this power button for 2 seconds to turn on the device.
The red button on the front panel of the instrument is the emergency stop button. In an emergency, press this button to immediately halt the instrument’s operation. To restart the instrument, rotate the button clockwise; otherwise, the instrument will not power on.

The remote control shown in the above figure allows users to adjust the intensity, energy level, and call service according to their preferences.

The figure above shows the patch-connecting cable. Before beginning therapy, connect the cable’s circular connector to the port on the right side of the instrument console; the clamp at the other end is used to securely affix the negative electrode patch to the patient’s skin.

The silver metal component shown in the figure is the physiotherapy probe, which can be removed for cleaning after treatment. The protective cover above the probe is designed to prevent gel from entering and can also be removed for cleaning after treatment.

Position the HotBot locator parallel to the machine bed and adjust it to the appropriate working position.

Note: It is recommended that the bed height be at least 60 cm, with an additional 5 cm.

The optimal distance for physiotherapy is 45 ± 2 centimeters to the right of the body’s midline.

How to use

The above figure shows the home page displayed after completing the self-assessment.
To upgrade the app, please tap the button shown to go to the settings page.

Tap “Network Settings,” select an available Wi-Fi network, and enter the password to complete the initial connection. After that, the device will connect to the network automatically. To switch networks, simply tap the desired network to connect. If the network password has changed, tap “Do Not Save” to clear the saved password, then re-enter the new password to reconnect.

The screenshot above shows the interface for the first network connection. You need to enter the password and tap “Join.” The system will automatically save the details of the connected network, allowing you to reconnect quickly next time.

After connecting to the network, click “Version Upgrade” → “Check for Update.” If a new version is available, a version upgrade prompt will appear. Click “OK” to proceed.

Note: If the network connection is poor, clicking the “OK” button may be delayed. Please wait a moment.

Enter the “Pose Adjustment” page. “Long-press to return to the packing position” retracts the robotic arm into the packed configuration for easier transportation; “Long-press to return to the home position” restores the system to its standby operating state; and “Long-press to enter the cleaning position” raises the therapy probe, facilitating the removal and cleaning of the probe and its protective cover.

Pairing the remote control: Tap “Remote Pairing” → “Start” → Press any button on the remote (a prompt will appear upon detection) → Tap “Finish.” Once the setup is complete, tap the “Back” button in the top-left corner to return to the home screen.

HotBot is available in two versions: a standalone version and a web-based version, each with a different login method. The standalone version can be accessed directly, while the web version requires logging in by scanning a barcode. After completing the general settings, the standalone version can be launched directly from the home page as shown above; for the web version, please refer to the instructions in the image on the right.

The online version requires you to scan the QR code above and use the SOGIOT mobile app. To download the SOGIOT mobile app: Android users can download, install, and register for “SOGIOT” through app stores such as Yingyongbao and the Huawei AppGallery; Apple users can download, install, and register for the app via the App Store.

Log in to the SOGIOT application
Go to the Customer Menu page and click the “+” icon in the upper-right corner to create a customer.

Edit user information and confirm
Select “R1” as the device type, then click the “Scan” button in the upper-right corner. Scan the QR code on the HotBot homepage, followed by the QR code on the consumables. Once the scans are successful, click “Retrieve Information” to log in to the instrument.

Click to select a package and go to the package selection page.

Select the appropriate treatment package based on the client’s symptoms and needs.

Apply the patch to the patient according to the instructions, evenly spreading a layer of gel over the treatment area, then click “Ready” to enter the positioning interface.

Click “Ready” to enter the “Calibrate Treatment Area” interface. First, use the left-side control buttons to position the robotic arm directly above the treatment area; then make fine adjustments to the virtual image until it is perfectly aligned with the treatment area on the patient’s body; finally, click “Complete Positioning.”

The figure above shows the interface during the physiotherapy session. During treatment, you can pause, stop, and adjust the volume and energy level.

During treatment, you can tap the “Parameter Settings” button in the upper-right corner to adjust settings such as energy, speed, intensity, alert sound, music playback, moonlight mode, and infrared light. Once you’ve made your adjustments, simply tap “Confirm” to apply the changes immediately.

After the treatment course is completed, the robotic arm will automatically retract. If you need to end the treatment early, please first click “End Treatment” and then click “Confirm.”

Once treatment is confirmed to be complete, the system will redirect to the screen shown above and display a message indicating that treatment has ended. Please click “Complete” to proceed.

After the treatment is completed, you will be reminded to clean the therapy probe promptly. Please remove the adhesive patch and protective cover, then rinse thoroughly with clean water.

Click to enter the “Pose Adjustment” page, then tap “Long Press to Return to Packaging Position,” and fully retract the robotic arm before releasing. Next, return to the home screen, tap the “Power Off” button at the bottom to shut down the device, and unplug the power cord. Finally, pack the power cable, remote control, and instrument together with the cushioning foam back into the original shipping box, restoring the equipment to its original packaged condition.

Caution: The device is shipped in its packaging. Upon power-up, the robotic arm will automatically return to its initial treatment position. Do not place the device near a wall to prevent collisions.

Tap the “Settings” button at the bottom of the homepage to access the settings page.

Common Faults and Troubleshooting

Serial Number Fault Solution
1 Robotic arm operation anomaly In this situation, press the “Emergency Stop” button to halt the instrument. Once the test is passed, release the “Emergency Stop” button to restart it.
2 During physical therapy, the skin may feel excessively warm or experience a stinging sensation. This is usually caused by setting the energy level too high. Please reduce the energy level, or ensure that gel is applied correctly and generously to the treatment area.
3 During physiotherapy, there is no sensation of warmth on the skin or no energy output. Check whether the negative cable connection is normal, or whether the patch connection is normal.
4 The system indicates excessive pressure, and the robotic arm retracts to its initial position. This situation typically occurs during treatment when the client applies excessive force while pressing the physiotherapy probe. Please check whether too much pressure has been applied; if so, the handpiece will automatically retract to its initial position. Simply click “Continue” to resume treatment.
5 The system prompts that the probe has been paused, and the robotic arm has retracted to its home position. This is usually caused by the patient moving or being improperly positioned during treatment, resulting in the physiotherapy probe losing contact with the body. You can click “Continue” to resume treatment.
6 The system has detected a sensor fault, and the robotic arm has retracted to its home position. Check the sensor lens for any foreign objects and clean it thoroughly. Click “Continue” to see if the issue has been resolved. If the problem persists, please contact technical support for assistance.
7 Abnormal robotic arm posture during treatment. This may be due to clothing or towels around the treatment area being too exposed, which can interfere with the sensor’s readings. Please smooth out the clothing or towel before continuing the treatment.
